How it was made
Vines raised on clay and granite soils with limestone deposits. The family eschew chemicals and fertilizers using natural compost instead.. Hand harvested fruit from 50 to 100 year old vines, carbonic maceration, fermented with native yeasts & bottled without filtration. No sulfur is used in the vinification. They never chaptalize. Truly low intervention winemaking.
Producer
Since 1512 the Dupeuble family has been making impressive wines from a 45ha estate in the southern hamlet of Le Breuil. Let us say that again, SINCE 1512. Ghislaine Dupeuble was one of the youngest people in history to be awarded the prestigious Chevalier de l'Ordre du Mérite Agricole.for her significant impact on preserving France's agricultural resources. Vintage-after-vintage the estate produces wines that are highly drinkable and pure of fruit.
